CommentsWell having worked with many depressed individuals to try and boost their self-confidence, I know how monumentally impossible it is to actually restore their self confidence. Most of the time the people exposed to this type of line feel as though they really should end it because they don't even understand why they are the target of hatred (and indeed there is no plausible reason for it), it is one of the aspects of humanity that confuses me beyond belief.
Anyhow, thank you for taking the time to critique, I'm glad you enjoyed this ^^ -Captain Chenbeard of the Black Fedora Pirates |
It gets me wanting to write something like this for my poetry anthology for English class.
You honestly captured the mood of hate and intolerance in these short lines. It really gets the message across that hate is a strong word and that hate will kill.
Hatred is believed to be the start of all wars, so we should all use this poem and fight the war of hate with love and acceptance.
It's just so angry and touching. I'm pretty sure everyone has felt this at least once in their life.
You have done a thorough job capturing the hatred even though you did not speak of yourself.
It is wonderful. The message is something like "You'll never miss me until I'm truly gone."
Great job!
